Hello and welcome to my new website, my name is Caitlin Healy and I’m so happy you are here to have a look around.

I founded Flame and Pickle as a silver jewellery brand back in 2012. Since then my practice has grown to include jewellery, small objects and workshops. My work is heavily inspired by nature and a desire to create beautiful objects with minimal impact on the environment. My work incorporates ancient metalsmithing techniques and includes precious gems as well as seed pods, bones, shells, curious opshop finds and whatever else feels beautiful and inspiring to me. To me, the perfect pebble is far rarer and therefore more precious than a diamond.

I offer workshops teaching the art of coppersmithing around South-East Queensland so keep an eye on my ‘Workshops and Event’s page for those details.

As a mother to three young children my passion for making and the environment has merged with the joyous responsibility of facilitating someone’s childhood and from that I have created a series of little zines and e-books on how to create fascinating ornaments and objects with items you can find in your own backyard.
