Opals for Mum and Daughters.
When Amy stumbled upon a real opal bracelet in an opshop for $5 she quickly saw past the dated setting and scooped it up for the beautiful opals themselves.
Amy sent me the bracelet and asked me to make something for her and each of her daughters.
I decided to set one opal in a pendant for each of them that could be worn on a chain or around the wrist.
One pendant (for her eldest) was made in sterling silver, one (for her youngest) in brass, and one (hers) was made with both materials.
Upcycling old, worn out jewellery is truly one of my favourite things to do. Making meaningful jewellery for people I love is another.
